Maria Hansen-Quine, LASW, MSW, has spent 27 years leading in schools, churches, nonprofits, government programs, and therapeutic wellness organizations across North America. Maria is currently on staff with an incredible global church. Originally from the Faroe Islands, Maria immigrated to Canada at 11 and learned English as her second language. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, a BA in Psychology from Trinity Western University, is clinically licensed, a certified school counselor, and has relevant certification from Cornell and is a TBRI Trained Practitioner through Texas Christian University. Alongside her husband, Sam, who has an incredible adoption story, they have 9 precious jewels, 2 biological and 7 adopted; as well as two adorable grandsons and one son-in-law. Maria’s passions are deeply personal because of her beautifully God created family. As adoptive parents and former foster parents, trauma interfaces their every day. In addition, their precious jewels have many varying special needs and mental health needs. Their big and small million little stories are testament to the best stories God writes. Maria has authored three children’s books, a family devotional, with more books on the way. Maria lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her family.
