The Table Project

The Table Project is Iowa’s first Gospel-centered foster parent pathway, inviting families to step into courageous biblical hospitality through fostering. We walk alongside families as they ask, “Is God calling us to make room at our table?” — and then equip them to answer that call. In 2026, The Table Project is active in Central Iowa, launching church-embedded recruitment efforts alongside Gospel-centered pre-licensure cohorts that meet all state training requirements. We call, equip, and sustain Christian families for the hard, holy work of fostering — living out the gospel of welcoming the stranger, until there’s a place for every child.

Bills Tax Service

The 2026 Adoption Tax Credit is $17,670 (with $5,120 now refundable). The Income Exclusion is also $17,670. One of the largest credits in IRS code. We will explain how it works, when to claim it and who qualifies.

We are blessed by adoption and want to help as many families, caseworkers, agencies and attorneys understand this great credit.

Lifestream Brain + Body Clinic

We Hear You. We See You. We’ll Help You Find Answers. If you’ve been told “it’s all in your head” in regards to your own or your child’s health struggles, we are here to listen and dig deeper. With two of Iowa’s only board-certified providers in functional neurology, we go beyond symptoms to uncover the root causes. Our clinic is founded on biblical principles and we see each patient as an Image Bearer of God. Many of the children and families we see daily at Lifestream are from the foster and adoption community. Individual struggles impact the entire family, and our heart is to help you find real answers that will create life change for each of your family members, not the just the person with the struggles.

Please call (515) 259-9336 or visit www.lifestreamclinic.com/discoverycall to schedule a free Discovery Call to see how we can help you or a loved one.

Royal Family Kids Camp

Ames, IA

Royal Family Kids camp is a 5 day overnight camp for kids 6-12 from foster, kinship, or adoptive family settings. RFKC’s parent organization – For the Children – is an international ministry with more than 40 years of experience and best practices helping trauma-impacted kids know that there’s a future and a hope for them. Sponsored and staffed by Christ Community Church in Ames, Summer 2027 will be our fourth year of camp with dates coming soon. Staff receive training based on the research and work of the Karen Purvys Institute at TCU and all camp costs are covered by generous donors and community partners.

Isaiah 117 House

When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be a few hours to several days. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing. Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement. The mission of Isaiah 117 House is threefold: * reduce trauma for children awaiting placement * lighten the load for child welfare services * ease the transition for foster families

Foster SQUAD

Foster SQUAD is an Iowa nonprofit dedicated to supporting foster and kinship families through practical resources, encouragement, and community connections. From care kits for children entering care to our eQuip Hub program that provides essential items for families, we work to remove barriers and help families say “yes” to caring for children. We are also the organization behind Operation Santa Iowa, a statewide program that ensures children in foster care receive gifts and experience the joy of the holiday season. Our mission is simple: ensure foster and kinship families have the support they need so children can thrive.

Our mission is to save embryos from destruction or from remaining frozen indefinitely, while providing an opportunity for families who have embryos remaining after IVF to choose an adoptive family for them to be born into. Over 1,600 babies have been born through the program since it began in 1997.

Make Room For Yes

(MRFY… say it fast, it comes out “Murphy”) It’s 11pm. You just got the call. A placement, tonight, and you don’t have a crib, a car seat, or the first clue where you’re going to get either one since no stores are even open at this hour. That’s the moment we built Make Room for. There shouldn’t have to be a scramble on Facebook asking around for a crib, or having to say “I have to wait until the store opens” to welcome a kiddo home. Foster and kinship care is the messy, crazy yes we’re here for: making room in your home and in your heart for a kid who needs it. We keep a Large Item Loan Library in Clear Lake stocked with beds, cribs, car seats, strollers, all the big stuff, available any hour of the day or night so you can grab what you need and get back to what matters: making a child comfortable in your home and knowing they’re loved. And every kid who gets placed has a Cozy Case waiting: new clothes, a book, something soft to hold onto. Parents can pack it themselves, or bring the kids in to help pack their own.

We serve foster and kinship families across 9 counties in north central Iowa. 27+ families and counting, over 40 Cozy Cases out the door, and more borrowed items than we can even count. We’re neighbors, not a big organization. Two founding families, no salaries, just faith and a whole lot of village behind them. Come say hi at our booth. We’d love to hear what kind of room you’re making.

Safe Families For Children

Safe Families for Children hosts children and creates extended family–like supports for families who have nowhere else to turn through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by compassion to keep children safe and families intact.

ISU Iowa Aftercare Services Network

Iowa Aftercare Services Network (IASN). We connect foster youth to their futures. Young people who exit foster care at or near the age of 18 are at high risk for poor outcomes. Many of these young adults are ill-equipped to handle the everyday challenges of adult life on their own. Iowa Aftercare services are designed to address both the immediate needs and long-term goals of these young people as they strive to become self-sufficient adults.

Youth who have experienced foster care can begin preparing for their future several months prior to aging out through Pre-Aftercare services. At age 17, youth can meet with an Aftercare Self-Sufficiency Advocate (SSA) to begin exploring their options.

“Aftercare really helped me when I first got into it. I didn’t know what was up or down, and I was going through a difficult time. This program helped me keep afloat when I was drowning.”
 —Aftercare Participant 2025
