Mel resides in Ames with her husband, Bryan. They are foster, adoptive and bio parents to four kids in their home.  Mel is on staff at Cornerstone Church of Ames, runs a real estate business, and serves as a founder and board president at Anchored Hope. There isn’t much free time after all of those endeavors but that is okay because mostly Mel enjoys being around people that she loves.
